New Delhi: Today, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, under Anurag Thakur, has banned 18 OTT platforms that were serving explicit vulgar content to the audience.
However, minutes after this crackdown on explicit content, the users of these OTTs were seen downloading X (formerly Twitter. While a majority of these users joined X to watch similar vulgar content, a few mistook X for some adult website.
Speaking to Baingan, one of the users of these OTTs said, “I turned hopeless after the news of the government banning 18 OTT platforms came out. I was very upset and had no will to carry on with my life, and suddenly it struck me. I ran to grab my phone, went to the app store, and installed an app named ‘X,’ the only app these days where you can watch explicit content without any ads. and more importantly, X also gives you option to bookmark the content for watching it later”
Right now, ‘X’ is trending at the 2nd place on the Indian app store, the first being the Cord VPN.
