In a major turn of events, Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party has updated the Congress’ status from ‘Corrupt’ to ‘Maybe Corrupt’. The decision was taken just ahead of the final announcement of AAP and Congress seat sharing for Delhi’s seven LokSabha constituencies.
Addressing a press conference, AAP leader Atishi Marlena said “Congress is not as corrupt as we thought, we have higher numbers of leaders arrested under corruption allegations than Congress, and since we identify ourselves as honest, we have decided to update Congress status from Corrupt to Maybe Corrupt”.
Congress has welcomed AAP decision of updating Congress’ status. However, some Congress leaders are upset saying AAP came into existence only after calling Congress corrupt.
Speaking to The Baingan, Congress leader Ajay Makan said “If Congress is ‘maybe corrupt’ then AAP should stop existing, since their existence was solely dependent on how corrupt Congress is”
